Family Day @ BIG ROCK!!

Rusty, Kelsie, McKenzie, Dakota and Landon at the top of Big Rock!
This place on the river holds lots of precious memories for our family.
My Mimi and Papaw would be happy to know that we spent our Sunday afternoon here :))
There's nothing in the world like cousins!!!
WE ARE SO BLESSED!!
Kelsie is in the water in float; Michelle in the water with snorkel gear;Landon standing above her; Kaitlyn has green float around her; McKenzie bending down shivering; Dakota standing on the rock!! WHAT A CREW!!!
Dakota, McKenzie and Landon getting ready to snorkel! Dakota was so excited when Landon got there. We heard him hollor "Landon's here" before we got out of the car.
My cousin Mindy (Kaitlyn's mommy) and my Aunt Di. Diane said her pic better not be on anyone's blog, but I think it's a good pic so, I'll take my chances :)))
I just so happened to snap this and thought it was soooo sweet! There's nothing in the world wrong with being a DADDY'S GIRL!!! This is Michael(my cousin Meg's husband) and Miss Kylah.

DEMON'S BASEBALL!!

Landon didn't want to play football this year(I'm secretly happy about this :)
We really encourage them to do what they want and Fall baseball is fine with us!!
Look at this swing!! My Daddy used to say "Landon is a Power Hitter, he has a perfect swing"
This pic kinda shows that!!
From the look of this pic there's no wonder why there are restrictions in Little League as to how many pitches you can throw in a week! His shoulder and elbow look broken!!!
(Just a side note: look how big his feet look! He wears a 12)
Landon is such a "TEAM PLAYER" He will play anywhere he's needed and he cheers his team mates on. During one game Eli was pitching and got upset with himself and Landon left his 1st base position and walked to the mound to encourage him.
I AM PROUD TO BE HIS MOMMY :))))

MY TEAM MATES CALL HIM COACH BUT I CALL HIM DAD!!!!

He's almost as big as his Daddy!!
FIRST PLACE CHAMPS!! GO DEMONS!!!!

New School Year Starts TODAY!!

We have a Senior and a Seventh Grader!!
We are such blessed parents!!
I can't believe that this is the first day of "Our Baby Boy's" SR YEAR!!
Where does the time go and how do I capture it in a bottle??
We are so proud of him!
He finished his JR year with a 3.93 GPA and his top ACT score so far is a 28!!(he takes again in Sept). He took a Dual Enrollment College Calculus class last year (I won't tell you he enjoyed it) :) and he will receive college credit hrs for that. He received the "Patriot Award" for character and citizenship for the JR class(this is voted on by the teachers and principals)! He's also the only student in the top 10% of his class that letters in 2 Varsity sports. Please help us pray for God's Will and guidance in Jacob's decisions for his future!!
My Mimi once told me there's a difference in being proud of something and having pride, so this is me being proud of my Jacob!!!

And me being proud of my Landon!!

I can't believe "Our Baby Boy" is half way through Middle School! It doesn't seem possible!Landon had a great 6th grade year! He made all A's and 1 B the whole year!! We did lots of projects especially in SocialStudies and Science! He really enjoys all that stuff and is very good at it!! He received the Principal's Award at the end of the year(this is selected by the principal for a good student role model) WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM!!!

I want to share 2 stories with you. This story his SS teacher told Tim and I at Open House:: She told us she witnessed this from her desk and she's not even sure if Landon knew she saw him. A very quite girl sitting beside Landon knocked her pencil box and all it's contents off her desk and she was on the verge of crying, Ms. Coffey said without saying a word, Landon got up, picked up her stuff and laid it on her desk and went right back to reading. She said his compassion touched her!

The other story is the same teacher but this time she called me at work to tell me this during her planning period!! They were studying about different religions in SS(required by TN law b/c it's on TCAPS, or so I'm told) and she asked if anyone had heard of Golgotha and Landon said yes it's where Jesus was crucified. She said this statement opened up numerous questions from other students about Jesus and who he was and what being crucified meant. She said : "Monica, I am not allowed to get in a deep conversation with students about religion, but I didn't have to. She said " Landon all but preached in my class and it was like having church. YES!! I cried when we hung up!!

As proud as we are for Jacob and Landon's academic performances, we are most proud of the work that Jesus is doing and will continue to do in their lives!!!

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Happy 2nd B-Day Ellie Grace!!

Everyone had a great time @ Ellie's party Sunday.
I can't believe she is 2!! She wore the cutest Minnie Mouse outfit to her party.
Here's the birthday girl with her mommy(my cousin Steph)
Landon and Hayle giving it all they've got on the swings!!
Landon kept going back to the most popular place at the park::: The pool with Kylah and Addie in it. These 2 baby girls are definitely a hit with ALL their cousins :)))))
Jaiden getting stuck on the slide because her bathing suit was wet!!
She had enough of the slide and she and 2 other kids started chasing each other!
Jennah said: "Kuckie take my picture and then let me see if it's good" She cracks me up!!
I think it's a great pic of "Miss Priss"
