I am so thankful that 13years ago today, God chose to bring this precious boy into the world and into our lives. I thank God for healing him when he was fighting for his life. I thank God for all the people who prayed for our baby boy. I am thankful for the young man he has become. I thank God for all the things he will do by God's grace. I am thankful to have the blessed privilege of being his mommy :))

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ALMOST THANKSGIVING!!!

IM STILL THANKFUL!! BUSY.....BUT THANKFUL :)

WHEW!! It's been a couple days! I AM THANKFUL FOR AN ABUNDANT LIFE!!

I have a story for you. Last Saturday Jacob had a scrimmage in Middlesboro,KY. We went to eat and then I was going to CATO to shop, Tim and Landon were going to Radio Shack to look @ new cell phones, and Jacob and Kendal were going to the Mall to watch a movie. We had decided we would grocery shop since KY doesn't have tax on groceries!! Tim for whatever reason had given me $CASH$ for the groceries. Why...we still don't know since I always use my Debit Card. IT WAS POURING RAIN!! So..Tim let me out @ CATO not in a parking spot, just pulled up in front and I jumped out. After 30minutes and a cute sweater and new jeans, I tried to pay and NO WALLET!!! I called Tim and told him I dropped my wallet in the car when he gave me the cash, could he bring it to me. NEXT THING I KNOW my "Blank Faced Husband" came walking in CATO and said it's not in there. We searched all over the parking lot, went back to the restraunt and checked there(he gave me the cash there) and we did a store sweep @ CATO. STILL NO WALLET!! Soooooo, we called and cancelled all credits and debits and I CRIED!! Cash for groceries gone! License gone! Several gift cards gone!! Pictures gone!!
Then, Tim said: "Don't cry Babe! You probably made someones Christmas wish come true, what if they couldn't afford anything for Christmas and then they found your wallet and needed it worse than we did." A PEACE came over me and it was OK, I was still heartsick over someone having my information, but NOT about the money or gift cards. GOD IS SOOO GOOD! We drove home and here's where it gets good! There were 2 messages from a lady named Delores in KY and she found my wallet in CATO parking lot. She said she didn't turn it in because she feared that someone wouldn't be honest. We drove to their house and her and her husband were the sweetest things ever and we talked about our churches and our children! We tried to pay her, but she said "NO, I lost my wallet last year and someone returned it to me, I know how you feel." This Christmas, think about how others feel and if God allows you to, reach out and help them. Remembering the time you might have felt like they do now.
We left their house and I was in awe of God's goodness!! He showed me that He is my PROVIDER! He is my PEACE! He is IN CONTROL! I thought about what Tim said and there will be people that can't buy something special for someone this season. While that's not the true meaning of Christmas, it is still worth reaching out and helping others. "We reap what we sow" Tim preached on Sunday. May we always sow seeds of love and humility LIKE DELORES!! for those who may feel helpless:: LIKE MONICA!! The Bible promises what we give will come back to us. HELP OTHERS THIS YEAR AND SHOW THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS!!

PS: How did Delores get our number????? She found the cards I had printed up for Tim the day of his Ordination Service. THEY READ: Rev. Tim Muncey with John 14:6 on them.
Jesus, saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. And has our hm # on them!!
AND, her son works for a man that goes to our church!! COINCIDENCE?? I don't believe in it, GOD IS IN CONTROL and I think He looks down and smiles :)))

I am thankful that a long time ago, I came to know the man named Jesus. Who came to save his people from their sins. Who promised me if I believe in him, my home awaits in heaven!!

Please pray for my cousin Meghann's husband Michael. Also, for Meghann and Mindy's dad: Mike. Both are having some medical tests and I would like to ask my all my prayer group friends to lift their name up to the Lord. Please pray for Mindy and Meg too. :))

MY I'M THANKFUL WEEKEND (DAY 15 & 16)

I am thankful for a safe trip to Kentucky for Jacob's last srimmage before the season starts. I am even thankful for losing my wallet in a Kentucky parking lot. I am thankful for the "Good Samaritan" named Delores that found it and called me. For her and her husband's honesty and sincere love of God. For the peace in my heart. For knowing that no matter what we go through on earth: losing our wallet, sickness, death of a loved one, financial problems, marital problems, unemployment or hard decisions:: GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE!! No matter how much we worry or try to fix things, HE is in control. HIS ways are not our ways.

I pray that He will cover you tonight with a Wall of Faith, Mercy, Love and Peace!!!

IM THANKFUL DAYS:: 13 and 14

For Jacob receiving applications from tons of colleges who are interested in him for athletics and academics! For the knowledge God has blessed him with. For the healthy mind that he has to retain information. For the athletic abilities he is blessed with. For his health. For his teachers telling us many student/athletes look up to him:)) For his testimony of salvation! I'm thankful for him making me a mommy :) For Landon and his sweet spirit. For him making me a mommy x 2. :) :) For his creativity and knack for making the best projects I've ever seen. For the knowledge God has blessed him with and the fact that he thinks about everything he's learned. I'm thankful for his ability to draw. For his beautiful handwriting. For his HUSSLE playing any sport. For all his coaches telling us what a "Coachable Kid" he is. I'm very thankful for his testimony of salvation and for him giving his testimony at church last Youth Sunday. For Tim and the Spiritual Rock that he is. For what he stands for. For the fact that he doesn't change what the Bible says for family or friends! For knowing he practices what he preaches. For God giving me my soul mate. For it being Tim.

IM THANKFUL FOR MY SISTER!! For the fun we have together. For knowing you always have a BFF. For the way she loves Tim, Jacob and Landon. For her crazy ideas :) For the great mommy that she is. For giving us TWIN BABY GIRLS TO LOVE AND WATCH GROW UP!! For our early morning and late night talks. For our trips to the Scrapbook Superstore! For the way the "Chapee" suit is sooo her :)

I'm also thankful for God's Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. For the gift Tim has in delivering God's Word to others. For mine and Jacob's talk tonight. For Landon's excitement about his 13th B-Day(YES, I said 13th!!) For my Christian home. For getting to experience both sides of a mother's love. For laughter. For love and happiness. For peace and rest. For the old Rugged Cross.

I'm thankful for our veterans and the freedom we have because they served our country!! SAY A PRAYER TODAY FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED & ARE SERVING THE USA!! I'm thankful for health insurance and physicians. I'm thankful for just a sinus infection, when it could be much worse. For my family being safe and sound in our living room tonight. For the warmth in my house because some are sleeping in the rain tonight. For all the people who serve the homeless in our community. For Jesus and the blood He shed on Calvary.

For the cornbread muffins she made to go with my vegetable soup.For the way she rearranges her schedule to come to Jacob and Landon's games. For loving Tim like he's her son. For teaching me to make her broccoli casserole, meatloaf and cornbread. I'm thankful for all my aunts, uncles and cousins. For the warmth of our fireplace. For Jacob's smile and the way he still gives me a goodnight kiss and hug. For Landon still calling me Mommy and having the biggest heart of any 12year old I've ever known. For Tim and everything about him. For God choosing him for me. For God's love and the fact that it's all around us. For knowing God is real. For knowing God's promises are real. DAY 8 SAT::I'm very thankful for my bed. For warm blankets. For hot chocolate. For my husband and boys that constantly check on me with love and concern because I'm in the bed ALL DAY! For being still long enough to remember all the things I need to pray about. For being able to pray. For the feeling of love. For being a mommy to the most precious boys in the world. For being the wife of the most PERFECT(my kind-of perfect) man in the world. For God's Word and the TRUTH in it.

IM THANKFUL DAY 7 (I fell asleep last night) :)

OOPS! I'm a little late. I was really tired and fell asleep last night.

I am thankful for WEEKENDS!! For watching our healthy 17 year old run up and down the basketball court. For our healthy (MIRACLE BABY) 12year old having fun @ his friends B-Day sleepover. For our boys having good friends. For those friends having parents we can trust our kids being around. For Kendal's parents being so good to Jacob. For our friends Tim and Susan. For the grades on the boys report cards. For their brilliant minds. For my family!!

I'm Thankful:: DAY 6

HAVE I MENTIONED I'M THANKFUL FOR THESE THREE PEOPLE??

For the blessing of sharing in their lives. For hearing Tim say: "Hey Baby Girl" when I get home from work. For loving him and being loved by him for 20years!! For hearing Jacob say: "Mom come and look at this on You Tube" or "Hey Mom guess what I did today in Medical Therapuetics class." For Landon saying: "Good Morning My Mommy" every school morning when I wake him up. And for him asking me almost every morning, "What's for breakfast? biscuits and gravy? :)

For these things and sooo much more: I AM BLESSED BEYOND WORDS!!

For being off today to spend time with my boys. For the blessing of how unique they are.For the way they sing when we're driving in the car. For their individual personalities. For Landon asking me if Obama and McCain believe in abortion and the conversation that followed about the subject. For wanting to go to O'Charley's to eat because they have rolls :)) For them making me feel like they would choose no one else in the world to be their mommy. For the God given fact that I could never have received 2 more wonderful boys to love and raise. For Jacob telling me that he would rather stay with me and Landon than go to basketball practice. For their Daddy and the love he has for them and me. For being able to buy a few Christmas presents today. For Becky's results from her doctor. For the right to vote. For the knowledge that God is in control and no matter what happens in the world, He is still on the throne!

I'M THANKFUL MONDAY NOV. 3rd DAY: 3 (a few hrs late) :))

For me and my family getting where we're going on a Monday morning and getting back home safely. For the "HOME" we come home to. For the "HOME" that awaits me in heaven! For the peace in knowing that I'm going there one day.

I'M THANKFUL DAY: 2

For an extra hour of sleep this morning. For having the freedom to get to go to the church of my choice this morning. For all the soldiers fighting so I can have that freedom. For Tim and the wonderful gifts God has blessed him with. For our church. For hearing Landon give his testimony this morning. For Jacob and his desire to still want to talk to me about every day things in his life. For the Holy Spirit. For prayer and the POWER in it. For my home and for it being next to Momma's. For the preached Word of God. For a job to go to tomorrow. For peace that passes all understanding.

I WAS glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Psalm 122:1

I'M THANKFUL:: DAY 1

For Tim turning on the fireplace early this morning so it would be warm when I woke up.
For waking up to Landon asking his daddy a question. For Jacob getting home safely on Halloween night. For the ability and health to make it to Landon's 8am game then to Jacob's 11am game then back to Landon's 1:30pm game. For their games ending without injury. For the fellowship with our church family. For Landon's desire to want to stay at a church function instead of play his third baseball game of the day. For Jacob, Kendal, Chris and Brittany wanting to be with their church family instead of being elsewhere on a Sat. night. For my friend Renae and her encouragement. For the bible that's laying beside my computer. For the Fall colors and changing of the leaves. For the new pair of jeans I bought today, being able to buy them and because they're a size smaller than the last ones I bought. For one side of my garage being full of supplies for the Barton Family donated by our church. For being able to see God in big and small things. For my salvation.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT !!!

This time of year people start talking about everything they're thankful for. Although we should recognize this every day of the year, our minds get in the thankful mode around Thanksgiving time. I want to challenge you to thank God every day this month for all things He has given you.

I got an e-mail from someone and the last sentence really touched my heart. SO I'LL SHARE SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT:: "Don't spend all your time telling God how big your storm is, tell your storm how big your God is! POWERFUL WORDS!!

Every night this month, I will try to journal blog the things thru out that day that I am thankful for. If you have 5 minutes to spare, read Psalm 136. The heading to this chapter in my bible says: Praise for the Lord's past and present blessings(HE'S SO WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE)

Verse 1 says: O GIVE thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
